Then

The patterns formed early. The strategies that kept you safe.

The roles you inherited. The ways of moving through the world that made sense when you were young — adaptive, necessary, survival.

Now

The same patterns — running your present life.

Costing you in ways you can feel but not yet name. The gap between who you are and who you sense you could be.

What It Includes

A structured arc. Not open-ended therapy.

Over ten sessions, you will build a precise psychological narrative: where your patterns came from, why they made sense then, and why they are costing you now.

10 Sessions

Two per week, over five weeks. A contained, intensive engagement with a clear beginning and end.

In Person + Video

130 Fulton Street, Suite 9A, New York City — or by secure video session.

Contained & Complete

Confidential. A clear beginning and end. Not open-ended therapy.

Investment

Two paths. Both of lasting value.

Step 1 — Always

Clinical Intake

$1,000

A two-hour interview with Dr. Samstag to assess mutual fit. He reviews every candidate personally to determine whether the intensive is the right container for the work — for both of you. Applied in full to the total cost if accepted.

Step 2 — If Accepted

The Analytic Intensive

$5,000 total

All ten sessions. Payable in advance. The $1,000 intake fee is credited in full toward the total. Acceptance requires a signed and notarized acknowledgment of the potential benefits and risks of intensive analytic work.

If Not Accepted

Clinical Write-Up

Included with intake

You receive a detailed clinical assessment from Dr. Samstag: what is driving your current patterns, what kind of work would serve you, and where to go next. You leave with something of lasting value regardless of outcome.
